Preface

Comixware is designed to be intuitive and easy to use. The best way to get acquainted with the program is to "jump" right in and just start using it.

However, this is not a program without depth. It offers many levels of user experiences and sophistication depending on how far you want to "push the envelope". You can use it casually to put something "quick and dirty" together. You can also involve it with serious professional project or ambitious artistic aspiration that you live and breath with. The idea is adaptability and expandability to grow and evolve with individual users and their projects. The tools may be simple and child like but inherit no limit. They can be used in many different ways and allow possibility to go all the way. You are limited only by your imagination.

For the most part Comixware's user interface is self evident and straightforward. But because of its "depth", certain UI elements may not be obvious at the first glance. That is why we provide this reference manual to help you get the most out of it. We suggest you to glance through this Introduction chapter (including the Quick Start section) to get things started first. As you get comfortable with the basics, the rest should come your way naturally. Use this reference as needed. The real thing is much easier to understand than the descriptive literature.
