Contextual Menus

Beneath the 3 main interface components of Compose section, there are 3 sets of commands that are normally hidden but contextually available through selection related or event specific menus. They are designed to complement and expand the capability of the "surface" tools in both TE and SC modes. The 3 contextual menus are: Scene Contextual menu, Object Contextual menu and Scene Length Definition menu.

Scene Contextual Menu

This is a "scene" selection related menu that is accessible from the Timeline Strip in both TE and SC modes. The way to bring up this menu is to right-mouse-click on selected scene(s) in the timeline. The menu that pops up at the mouse click contains 4 commands: Cut, Copy, Paste and Remove. Select one of them to perform the respective task. To close this menu without a selection, simply click outside of the menu to turn it off. See Timeline copy-n-paste for detail of these commands.

Object Contextual Menu

This is an "object" selection related menu that is accessible only in Scene Composition mode. Similar to Scene Contextual menu, this menu is incited by right-mouse-click on selected object(s) on Compose stage. The menu that pops up at the mouse click contains 5 commands: Cut, Copy, Paste, Paste In, and Remove. Select one of them to perform the respective task. To close this menu without a selection, simply click outside of the menu to turn it off. See Compose copy-n-paste for detail of these commands.

Scene Length Definition Menu

This is an "event" specific menu that is accessible only in Scene Composition mode. This menu appears only at a scene length change. It contains 4 commands: To End, To Front, To Cycle and Reset (see detail in Scene Length control). Select one of them to perform the respective task. To do nothing, simply click outside of the menu to have it closed.
