Cut scene(s)
You
can either use the Cut command from the contextual menu, or use the
keyboard shortcut Ctrl + X to cut the selected scene(s)
out of Timeline and onto the memory clipboard. The 'cut'
out frame(s) will be "butted up" by the subsequent scene(s).
Copy
scene(s)
Like the Cut interface, the copying of scene(s) can be
performed either by the Copy command in the contextual menu or by the
keyboard command Ctrl + C on a given selection.
Note:
When a selection of scenes is copied into memory, while the
order of theses scenes is maintained the in-between space(s) of these scenes (if there's any) is not. That is when a group of scenes is pasted
(or inserted) into a new spot, while the order of scenes
is the same as the original selection, the in-between space(s) of the selection
are removed.
Paste scene(s)
To
paste a single scene:
you
first select a frame where you want to paste your last copied scene, then you can either
a) use the Paste
command from the contextual menu to do the paste, or
b) use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V to perform the same task.
To
paste a selection of multiple scenes:
you first
select a frame where you want the paste to begin, then you can either
a) use the Paste
command from the contextual menu of that frame to paste the selection,
or
b) use the keyboard shortcut Ctrl + V to perform the same task.
Note:
The pasted scene(s) will replace the existing scene(s). They will
occupy and replace a timeline space equal to the length of the copied
selection starting from the first of current selected frame(s).
Remove scene(s)
To
'Remove' a selection of scene(s) from Timeline you can either
a) drag
it out of the Timeline Strip area and release the mouse button to remove it, or
b) use the Remove command
from the contextual menu to perform the same task.
HINT:
1.
'Empty' scene(s) can be cut, copied and pasted just like 'occupied'
scene(s) in the Timeline.
2.
Click the space outside of the scene contextual menu to leave the selection unchanged.
