Anatomy of Object
Scene Assets are compositional objects used to build individual scene in Scene Composition (SC) mode. They are called "objects" because they behave like independent actors on the Compose stage. Each comes with a set of composition attributes (position, size, orientation, color, stacking order and etc) that can be manipulated by user individually. These objects (represented by their respective thumbnails) can be movie clips or still pictures (of compatible media) that are accessible from Scene Asset Bin in SC mode. In terms of feature and function there are generally three kinds of scene objects: generic, 3D and text.
Generic Object: This is the most common type of scene object that has characteristics generic to all on-stage objects.
3D Object: This is a special kind of scene object designed for dynamic composition or interactive storytelling in a pseudo 3D fashion.
Text Object: This is another kind of special object that is used to create text element for scene composition.
When you drop an object onto Compose stage it becomes a compositional "element" in your scene. You may adjust the property of this element tailored to your composition need through a property module called "Bounding Box". This "Bounding Box" interface is "inherent" with every on-stage element that it can be turned on and off from the element itself.
