NOTE: Movie exporting feature is NOT come with Comixware's basic program package. They are made available by an add-on module that can be purchased by a separate license. You'd see the Export Movie interface appeared (like the screen shot above) only when you had Movie Exporter module installed. Check Comixware web site for module ordering information.

Overview

Movie Exporter is built on the idea of extendability, versatility and simplicity. While Comixware is a self-contained publishing system that provides everything people need for a complete interactive viewing experience, we recognize that it's in no way ubiquitous. There are needs for user to extend his/her work beyond Comixware environment for broader reception and possibilities. Movie Exporter is born precisely for such purpose, to bridge a path between Comixware and mainstream media. That means works created in Comixware can be easily converted to other formats and propagated on other platforms without limitation. Authoring once and publishing everywhere in any venue.

QuickTime - We choose QuickTime as Comixware's output format because of its creative friendliness and versatility. QuickTime supports the widest range of media formats and is the preferred platform for professional post-production tools and facilities. Being able to output user's Comixware creation in QuickTime guarantees the extensibility and compatibility of his/her work for universal distribution and further production possibilities.

High Quality - To ensure the fullest potential of user's work in media publishing and movie production, SE imposes NO resolution limit for its picture output. Yes, you can export your movie in ANY size for ANY purpose. For audio export SE offers sample rate from 8000Hz to 64000Hz in stereo or mono format. Picture and sound tracks can be exported together or separately. Export range can also be easily defined by user.

Flash Centric - The exporter also serves as an unique bridge between Flash's vector base medium and high-end production processes (i.e. QuickTime oriented tools and facilities). Because it can convert resolution-independent swf to QuickTime in ANY resolution without limit. This means, like never before, animation created by a readily available "consumer" grade tool (e.g. Flash) can be carried all the way to serve for high-end "pro" grade movie production, even of feature quality. To paraphrase Ratatouille's "ANYONE can cook" motto, ANYONE can do feature!

Good Compression - While completely capable of preserving the original quality of the source materials (NONE compression), SE also offers user a couple of GOOD (instead of many indistinguishable) compressors that really matter: H.264 and MPEG-4.

Smart GUI - SE's co-relational task-oriented export UI leads user through the maze of media standards and codecs with minimum guess work. For example, our default output settings are carefully calibrated and balanced so that their results should be a no-brainer good for most of situations.

Snapshot - Movie Exporter also comes with a handy Snapshot feature that allows you to make a single frame copy of your scene by specification. This is no ordinary screen grabber in that you can actually specify the output to be of ANY resolution. That means you can not only use it to put together a quick storyboard like presentation but also use it to output press-ready high quality artwork.

YouTube Ready - While it is capable of non-restrictive pro quality Movie Exporter also gives user the agility to create YouTube kind of contents fast and of superior style. The Soundtrack Fader automatically gives your YouTube piece a structurally flawless ending, every time.
